The Sishen Golf and Country Club is situated on the outskirts of Kathu. The golf course is set in over 500 hectare Camelthorn forest. Maintained by the Sishen Iron Ore mine many visitors was surmised by the lush green fairways and greens, a must for any golfing enthusiast.


The Wonder Cave is a dolomitic ‘solutions cavity’ that runs horizontally into the base of a low-lying hill in the Kuruman and it is one of the oldest human habitations on earth – it has housed people for hundreds of thousands of years. – A National Heritage site.


The park has abundant, varied wildlife. It is home to predators such as black-maned Kalahari lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas, herbivores such as blue wildebeest, springbok, eland, and red hartebeest also live and move seasonally within the park.


Moffatt Mission in Kuruman was started by Robert Moffatt of the London Missionary Society in the 1820s. Robert Moffatt translated the Bible into Tswana and then printed these Bibles on his own printing press. This cast iron printing press is on display at the Moffatt Mission.


Rheotessa is situated in the centre of town in a quiet and safe aria. Shopping malls are within walking distance from establishment. The golf course, which is rated under the 20 best in the country, is 3km away as well as a well-equipped Gym, tennis-, squash courts and a half Olympic swimming pool for the sport enthusiasts.

Sishen mine, the biggest open cast mine in the Southern hemisphere, is 5km from Rheotessa Guest house. Kathu is central to most of the mines in the Northern Cape stretching from Postmasburg to Hotazel.
